A 6 year old’s view of Twizying

We are interested in how well a day out in a Renault Twizy works for children here in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

6 year old Sam had his first Twizy experience last week and he rated it even though it was a chilly November day. He did 2 or 3 trips including one 14 mile one to visit the Caerfanell Waterfalls near Talybont-on-Usk.

Sam’s written post-Twizy report read “the twizy is a bit drafty (sic) when you are driving but it is very fun when you are going very fast. I found it very fun in the twizy”. The report included a diagram (left) and, as part of his half-term homework, he listed various design improvements for the Twizy – these included a hot tub and more storage space in that order of priority.

We found that a small cushion on the rear seat was all that was needed to boost Sam to the required height. He enjoyed chatting to the driver about varied subjects as he went along, spotting the snow on the mountain tops and waving to interested passers-by.

Here’s a snapshot of Sam and Mum enjoying the ride.

If you are interested in hiring a Twizy in the Brecon Beacons National Park to try with your children, you can find out the hire points here.
